The brief

A driving school student needs two things: to pass the theory test and not get lost in lessons. In the current version of the app (iOS, 1.1.12) languages and alphabets are mixed on one screen, topics and fines repeat, long titles are cut off, and the home screen does not say what to do next. The prototype answers from the first screen: the next lesson with a countdown, instructor and driving ground, exam readiness, a day streak, a daily goal and «continue where you left off». The exam works as at the traffic police: 20 questions, 25 minutes, no more than two mistakes, checking at the end and a review of every answer; alongside are topic tests, a mistakes queue and saved questions. Questions are checked against the traffic rules, with the clause number under each explanation. Signs are drawn in code, with a «Guess the sign» game. A lesson calendar, attendance with a «Make up» button, driving lesson booking by day, time and instructor, fines with the article and an amount based on the 440,000-sum base value, an exam forecast with weak topics, and a dark theme. On a computer the iPhone stands in the centre with quick jumps to scenarios on the left. The student and the school in the prototype are demo data.
