Nowhere does it say what shipping actually costs
What it costs the business. "How much is shipping from China" or "what's the monthly rate for storing a cubic meter" is the first question almost anyone asks when opening a carrier's site. This site doesn't answer it at all. Some people will write in and ask, but most will close the tab and go to whoever named a number. Silence on price reads exactly two ways: "expensive" or "they'll size up the client and haggle." Both scare off the very people who ship regularly and plan their budget in advance.
What we do. We set a from-to range for the main routes and services and honestly explain what the final number depends on: weight, volume, route, timeframe, cargo type. This doesn't commit you to the lower end, but the first call now comes from someone who already has a rough sense of the price range. A day or two, texts included.
